POLICY ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA WHEN PARTICIPATING IN QUESTIONNAIRES FOR THE EVALUATION OF TRAINING AND LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMMES
In the context of the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Law 4624/2019 and other applicable provisions on personal data, the University of the Aegean operates as a Data Controller and processes personal data.
In this context, we would like to inform you of the terms and conditions governing the submission of questionnaires for the internal evaluation of the training and lifelong learning programmes of the Centre for Training and Lifelong Learning (K.E.DI.B.I.M.) of the University of the Aegean.
- Collection and processing of personal data
During the process of submitting questionnaires for the internal evaluation of the training and lifelong learning programmes of the Centre for Training and Lifelong Learning (K.E.DI.VI.M.) of the University of the Aegean and in connection with it, personal data (hereinafter referred to as personal data) of the participants are collected, maintained and processed.
The personal data collected and processed are limited to what is necessary for the submission of the questionnaire and the evaluation of the training and lifelong learning programmes for which you submitted the questionnaire.
Indicatively, we collect and process the following types of personal data:

- Activity data on the questionnaire submission platform
- Responses submitted in the context of the investigation
- Purpose of processing personal data
The collection and processing of data is done exclusively for the following purposes:
- The implementation of the questionnaire submission process.
- The evaluation of the training and lifelong learning programmes of the Centre for Training and Lifelong Learning (K.E.DI.B.I.M.) of the University of the Aegean.
- Retention period of personal data
The personal data of survey participants are kept for as long as strictly necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose of processing and for the period determined by the applicable legal and regulatory framework.
Once the purposes of the data processing have been fulfilled and the data are no longer necessary, they are securely deleted.
- Legal basis for the processing of personal data
The legal basis according to which we process your personal data for the specific purpose of processing is based on obtaining your explicit consent through this form (Art.6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Transfer of personal data
For the personal data collected in this context, there is no need to transfer.
The recipients of the data resulting from the survey may be the competent services of the Ministry of Education, the National Statistical Service, the National Authority of Higher Education (N.A.A.E.), for which the University is obliged to issue and send statistical data. In these cases the data will be anonymised.
Public authorities that may receive personal data in the context of a specific investigation are not considered recipients as defined in Art. 9 of EU 2016/679.
- Rights regarding personal data
The University of the Aegean ensures the rights of participants in the evaluation questionnaires of the Centre for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (C.E.DI.L.L.L.M.) regarding the processing of their personal data and ensures the facilitation of the exercise of their rights.
Participants have the right to request:
- access to their personal data and information about which data we process, the purposes of the processing, the recipients and the duration of the processing,
- correction of their personal data, in case it is inaccurate or incomplete,
- deletion of their personal data, provided that the legal requirements are met,
- limiting the processing of their personal data,
- portability of their data, i.e. to receive the data they have provided in a structured, commonly used format or to request that it be sent directly to a third party,
- withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data, including automated processing for profiling purposes, at any time. In this case, their processing by us will cease, without this affecting the lawfulness of any processing until their consent is withdrawn.

This policy may change from time to time. Where we decide to materially vary our processing of your personal data, you will be given prior notice, or where required, your consent will be sought before the new policy is implemented.
It is noted that where applicants consider that their rights on personal data protection issues are violated, they have the right to contact the Data Processing Officer of the University of the Aegean (dpo@aegean.gr).
